Q. The bar graph shows the number of people employed in different workplaces in one region
of Australia in 2001 and 2008. Summarize the data by selecting and reporting key factors and making comparisons where appropriate.
The given vertical bar graph compares the amount of individuals employed in sales,
computing, accounting, nursing and farming in one region of Australia in 2001
and 2008.
In
2001, approximately 180,000 workers were employed in the sales sector. After
that in the next seven years, a slight rose was noticed 10,000 more people employed
in sales. The employees in computing and nursing sector also experienced minimal growth from 100,000 to 120,000 in the computing sector and from 40,000 to
50,000 in the nursing sector between the given period of tenure.

a quick glance to the remaining information, the
manpower in the accounting and farming sector declined with time. In 2001, the
workforce in the accounting sector just less than one lakh were employed and only
30,000 people worked in farming fields. In the accounting sector, the figure stood
at just over three quarters and a negligible amount of employment was noticed in
the farming sector in 2008.
Overall,
it can be seen that the sales sector had the maximum
workforce, while the minimum amount of employed was noticed in the farming sector
in both years. Moreover, employment figures did not show any significant change
in any other sector in between the two years.
