Q. It is impossible to help all the people of the world, so governments should focus only on the people of their own countries. What extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

It is often argued that helping people around the world seems impossible; therefore, the government must meet the needs of its people. Governments should focus on their own country's citizens first before trying to help other countries, I will shed light on both perspectives in the following paragraphs.

To inaugurate with, by supporting other nations, the authorities can guarantee their future when they get into trouble. The government can link up with each other to create an aid dependency. For example, a country like Sri Lanka always makes a significant contribution to helping its neighbors in difficult situations; leading to a lot of advocacy. Moreover, due to its humanitarian meaning, it requires countries to help each other. All in all, while it seems impossible to support the world's population as a whole, governments can supply energy to a few countries at critical times.

On the other hand, the role of government in meeting the needs of the people is indispensable. In other words, each country must ensure the well-being of its population, since people are the basis of any state. This means that if governments do not pay attention to the demands of the people, they will potentially no longer survive. For instance, in the past decade, not only did the dissatisfaction of individuals in Sri Lanka lead to riots, they also decided to change the regime. Therefore, the state must first of all adequately finance people.

In conclusion, although governments lose some support by advocating for individuals from their own country, in my opinion, this ultimately leads to the satisfaction of their own society.
