Q.  The bar chart shows different types of household waste in a city between 1992 and 2002.

The horizontal bar chart compares four different types of household waste in terms of their reuse rates from 1992 to 2002.

In more detail, in 1992, compared to plastic waste, of which approximately 10% was recycled, the figure for paper was much higher, over 20%. Over the next five years, an upward trend was observed in the recycle rates of both the former and the latter, reaching around 13% and approximately 33%, respectively. However, from 1997 to 2002, while the proportion of plastic remained unchanged, that for paper increased significantly to less than 50%.

As for the rest of the sectors, glass and cans saw a similar level of renewal in 1992, about 15%. Over the rest of the period, recycled cans declined mildly before reaching its peak of about 25% in 2002. Meanwhile, the figure for glass expanded considerably to over a half, surpassing other categories as the most frequently reused type of waste at the end of the decade.

Overall, it is clear that recycle frequency has generally increased in all areas surveyed during this period. In addition, plastic was seen as the least recyclable waste in four categories.
