It is the responsibility of schools to teach good behavior in addition to providing formal education. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Many people believe that schools should be responsible for teaching good behavior along with providing traditional academic learning. I completely agree with this sentiment as schools are effective environments for children to develop and improve their interpersonal skills.
The first reason for my argument is that schools have the potential to teach students to become better individuals in society. This is because educational institutions often reward positive behavior by promoting values such as honesty, respect, kindness and responsibility. By instilling these values in students in the classroom, schools can help students develop empathy and understanding towards others. For instance, moral lessons are taught about how to be polite and respectful, and students may recognize the importance of these codes of conduct and tend to demonstrate them in real life by becoming well-behaved individuals.
Another important reason is that schools can provide opportunities for students to improve their social skills. For example, by attending schools that are considered representative of society, students can learn how to resolve conflicts, resolve differences, and communicate effectively. Therefore, skills are crucial in their later life, both personal and professional. Additionally, those who misunderstand each other in school can come up with ways to work together on team assignments and learn to appreciate their differences and conflicting opinions. As a result, they can gradually improve their communication skills.
