Q.
Team activities can teach more skills for life than those activities which are played alone. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, people who perform tasks individually have the ability to concentrate and have resilience to time management. I completely agree that group work can help participants gain more important skills to cope with challenges in the future.
On the one hand, individual works such as drawing and writing are useful for increasing patience and perseverance, as they need to focus on doing one thing for a long period of time on their own. For example, J. K. Rollin, one of the most famous authors in the world, spent a lot of time writing books for many years before her famous fiction book, Harry Potter, was published.
On the other hand, globalization creates conditions for people of different backgrounds to work together. In this case, group activities play an important role in developing critical skills in youth, including communication and collaboration. Above all, good communication skills can convey a message clearly to others and prevent misunderstandings. Secondly, teamwork allows young people to be open and responsive, which is good for acquiring new experience and knowledge. Take early childhood education settings for example: teachers typically allow students to work together as teams to complete tasks, which can not only help children get to know their peers, but also gain access to different points of view.
In conclusion, although participants can improve their professional performance by working individually, it is inevitable that the influence of globalization will continue to grow, so I believe that it is extremely important to acquire various abilities in group activities.
