Q. Some people think that politicians have the greatest influence on the world, while others believe that scientists are more influential. Discuss both perspectives and give your opinion?

Some argue that politicians have a huge impact on the world; However, others disagree. In their opinion, researchers are the most influential people on the planet. I agree with this last group. In this essay, I will explain why I believe scientists are more influential than politicians.

There is no denying the fact that politicians have influence. After all, they rule the countries of the world. They make laws. They sign international agreements. They can also decide if we need war or peace. For example, in the case of world wars. While soldiers were fighting, the decision to enter the war was made by politicians. Obviously, the argument about the influence of politicians is clear.

Nevertheless, in my opinion, scientists are stronger. We have not reached until today without advances in science and technology. Scientists have invented vital medicines and vaccines that have enabled us to fight deadly diseases. They invented light bulbs, cars, refrigerators, and computers. As you can see, now it is impossible to imagine life without these inventions. Scientists have also invented successful missiles and bombs for politicians. Therefore, if there are no scientists, we probably still live in caves. The influence of politicians on our lives is neglected, due to the influence of scientists and their inventions.

In conclusion, while it is true that politicians have influence, their influence is much less than that of academics.
