Q. You are getting married soon. Write a letter to your friend from a another country and invite him/her to the wedding. In your letter:-
- Describe your future wife/husband?
- What will happen on the wedding day (activities)?
- Explain why it is crucial him/her to be at the wedding?

Dear Amy,

I hope this letter will find you radiant health and good spirits. I am getting married on 5th March 2021, and I am writing this letter to officially invite you to the wedding. You have always wanted to attend an Indian wedding and I believe that you will enjoy all the ceremonies associated with a real wedding ceremony.

My fiancé, Hardeep Singh, works for Dell International as a senior web developer. We first met at my cousin's wedding 6 months ago and immediately fell in love. He reached out to my parents through his parents, so this is an arranged-cum-love-marriage affair.

You have to come a week in advance because on February 28th, we will have a ring ceremony and on March 1st - "Ladies Sangeet". This is a very interesting celebration in which you will get to taste a lot of folk culture of Punjab. Then we will have the Mehandi ceremony on March 3rd and finally the great wedding day on March 5th. As you know in a traditional Sikh marriage, the priest at the Gurudwara sahib then recites Ardas (a set of prayers) while the bride and groom are seated. Then they take rounds around their holy book, Sri Guru Granth Sahib as "laavan" traditional ceremony. The groom leads the rounds holding the Kirpan (sword). After the ‘Doli’ ceremony, I shall leave my parents residence to go to my new home with my husband.

You are my best friend and I also heard that you are studying Indian traditions and culture. Therefore, it is very important for you to be present at the wedding, so that you can learn a lot first-hand. After the wedding, you can stay with my parents for a while, while my little sister will guide you to the tourist spots.
