Q. More and more people today are using computers and electronic devices to access information. Thus, there is no longer any need to print newspapers, books or magazines. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The contemporary era is an era of technology, with the increasing popularity of new age / electronic media, traditional newspapers seem to many less attractive and unnecessary. I believe that this trend is inevitable; however, this does not mean that print media have become redundant.

As technology advances at an astounding pace, a significant number of people have gadgets, such as mobile phones and computers, that allow them to find information at any time, so fewer people read print newspapers today. If they want to check what's going on in the world, they just need to press a few buttons on their screen. This way of accessing news has many advantages over reading print newspapers in terms of time savings and convenience, which is why most people today are no longer big fans of print newspapers.

Another reason why print newspapers are no longer needed is that they have monotonous information and the various functions of digital news are more interesting and personalized. An online news board gives viewers the opportunity to exchange views on how they perceive news events; With digital news notifications, subscribers can stay up-to-date with the latest information so they never miss a single important news item. All of these functions cannot be found in print newspapers because they simply display information through text and photographs.

On the other hand, some people may prefer to read newspapers in the traditional way because print newspapers are more authoritative in terms of the accuracy of the information. Publishing a newspaper issue requires a number of processes, such as on-site gathering of information by journalists and multiple proofreading of reports by editors. These energetic steps make news reliable to a large extent. On the contrary, most of the online news is untrue because every Internet user can publish news and make it go viral. Readers of this kind of wrong information will be misled.

In conclusion, print newspapers are still needed because of their inherent strengths that online media lack. They are a trusted source of authentic news and information. They may lack the versatility of online media, but that doesn't mean they aren't needed.
