Q. These days, more father's stay at home and take care of their children, and mother's go to work. What could be the reasons for this? Do you believe that this is a positive or negative development?

Nowadays, more and more women are choosing their careers over motherhood, and more often men are found with responsibilities related to raising children and caring for the home. This trend has been amplified in recent years by feminist movements that have emerged in recent years claiming that men and women have the same rights and the same responsibilities when it comes to feeding their family tables and educating their child. In this essay, I will explain why these phenomena have a positive effect on our society.

To commence with, the fact that women are now taking leading roles in companies affects positively the household environment since kids, especially girls grow up looking at the example of their mother being an independent and self-sufficient woman that is capable of supporting their home the same way their dad does. For example, in the unfortunate case that the parents get divorced or the father is unable to work due to a significant reason such as illness or death, the mother is adequately prepared to play her role and vice versa which creates an atmosphere of confidence and trust in the household.

Furthermore, both parents can share and nurture their children because they spend the same amount of time and activities with them. For instance, in the past, the boy hardly knew his father because he was the one who was always in the office, hence the only adult they were close with was his mother. Therefore, when mothers are not working, fathers have the opportunity to establish this connection with their teenager.

In conclusion, we note that the fact that women put their profession above housework gives fathers the opportunity to get closer to their children and take actions that will strengthen their relationship, and on the other hand, women look at them as equal and independent. like men.
