Q. For many people, the reason they work hard is to earn money. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In modern life, man is constantly working hard. According to many people, the reason for this is that individuals want to get money. I partially agree with this idea and this article will discuss whether people work hard just for money or not.

To begin with, there are a number of professions that people choose because they are passionate about it. Money plays an extremely important role in hard work. People are constantly striving to work hard to get not only more money, but also greater rewards. For instance, most companies give people special rewards if they perform very productively on a regular basis. Thus, people try to be hardworking in order to receive these awards.

However, there is another important factor associated with industriousness in the workplace. Some people who are passionate about their work always try to be hardworking and give their best in their task, regardless of the expectation of any special reward, because they want to feel satisfied and confident in the task they have successfully completed. For example, studies have concluded that there is a positive relationship between feelings of self-confidence and success in a task that requires hard work. Therefore, many people give themselves passionately to work in order to achieve a high level of self-confidence.

To conclude, many people work long hours for several reasons. I partially agree with the notion that money is an important factor in the level of hard work, and I also believe that self-confidence and passion for work are equally determining factors.
