Q.
Many students find it difficult to concentrate or pay attention at school nowadays. What are the reasons for this? What can be done to resolve this issue?
Nowadays many pupils find it difficult to pay attention in the class. The main reasons for this are outdated teaching methods and distractions caused by technology. There are a number of solutions that can be implemented to work with children who lack attention.
To inaugurate with, the most important reason for lack of concentration in school is the new world of entertainment such as smartphones, video games and social networks. Children now spend most of their time at home playing video games and using social networking sites, which has a negative impact on their lives. So when they are at school they think about these things and it affects their concentration. Another reason is that children are bored with the old teaching technique. In addition, they find it less interesting, so their attention will automatically change. Moreover, it affects their studies and is reflected in their results.
There are effective solutions for these problems. One way to solve this problem is to make classroom teaching more interesting. New technological innovations can be used in the classroom. To illustrate, with the help of PowerPoint presentations, schools can make learning more interesting, showing animated pictures and visual effects to help children engage in lessons. Another way of dealing with students is to focus less on theoretical studies and more on practical studies. For instance, if a teacher wants to teach about the manufacturing process of a product, they should consider taking the students to a manufacturing plant. This will help them to learn faster and with full interest.
