Q. It has become more easier and more affordable for people to travel to other countries. Is this a positive or negative development? Give your opinion and relevant examples from your experience.

In modern times, it has become easier than ever for people to travel across borders. Traveling helps us to gain knowledge and discover new things and ideas. Although convenient means of travel bring people closer, it also has some disadvantages.

Our society has witnessed tremendous growth and development in the field of transportation. Nowadays, travel has become cheaper and more convenient, and this allows us to get closer to different cultures. Therefore, we can gain knowledge about other people. Travel acquaints people with differences in lifestyle, dress, languages and eating habits and convinces them that this is completely normal. It makes people more tolerant. Traveling is also a great way to forget the banality of your everyday existence. It rejuvenates their mind and helps recharge their batteries. Travel also creates many opportunities in the hospitality industry.

On the other hand, the growth in travel also has a downside. The main problem is that travel, especially flying, is bad for the environment. Travelers can also bring new diseases to a place. For instance, travelers often visit places where tribes live. These people are not familiar with the viruses and bacteria that infect people in cities and towns. During their visit, they can bring these pathogens to them, and they can be fatal to them. Another problem is conflicts between travelers and locals.

To recapitulate, the ease of travel certainly allows more and more people to visit and learn about different places. However, increased travel also has environmental implications and may even contribute to the spread of infectious diseases. Therefore, in my opinion, travel has both positive and negative sides in equal measure.
