Q.  The graph shows the production levels of main fuels in a European country from 1981 to 2000. Measured in tonnes.

The line graph illustrates the level of production of three types of fuels namely: petroleum, coal and natural gas in a European country from 1981 to 2000.

In 1981, the proportion of petroleum produced by a European society was the highest of these three fuels; Exactly at 100 tons. This increased rapidly over the next few years, reaching about 130 million tonnes in 1985, and remained stable until 1989. However, in 1993 this dropped to 100 tonnes. Whereas in 1997 the manufactured rates again increased to around 130 tonnes. In addition, the production amount fluctuated slightly towards the end of the period.

In early 1981, coal was the second most produced fuel by a European nation, then it remained constant over the next four periods. After that, it starts to drop significantly (in 1989) at exactly 50 million tonnes. Whereas in 1993 it only increased by 70 million tonnes. Moreover, the fabrication figure declined steadily over the next thirteen periods from 1993 to 2000. In contrast, natural gas production remained stagnant at 40 tonnes until 1993. While it grew rapidly and reached about 60 tonnes in 1997, ranks higher than coal in 1997. It also reached its peak of just over 80 tons in 2000 at the end of the stage.

Overall, it is clear that natural gas production has increased. However, both petroleum and coal at the same time showed some fluctuations in the given tenure.
