Q. The table below gives information about the salaries of secondary/high school teachers in five countries in 2009.

The given table chart compares the salary according to experience of the faculty in five different countries namely Australia, Denmark, Luxembourg, Japan and Korea in the year 2009.

To begin with, in Luxembourg, teachers earned a huge income at the beginning of their careers, amounting to 80,000, almost double that of other countries. After 15 years they pay a whopping 112k and to get a stipens of around 139k you need a lot of experience. On the other hand, the starting salary in Australia is the minimum wage compared to other countries, which was 34,600 and after 1.5 decades reached 48 thousand, which remains constant. Similarly, Denmark is paid 45000 in starting and gains the maximum in 8 ages with 54,000 only.

Additionally, Japan and Korea paid newcomer salaries of around 28,000 and 30,500, although after the fifteenth period it would double (around 49,000 and 52,000). Moreover, Japanese and Korean teachers wait 34 and 37 years to earn their maximum salaries, respectively.

Overall, it is crystal clear that the highest payout was given by Luxembourg, but it takes the maximum number of years to receive it. However, Australia was the lowest in terms of take-home pay.
