Q.
Today foods travel thousands of miles from farmers to consumers. Why is it so? Is it a positive or negative development?
Nowadays, the production process is widespread in hundreds of countries. In turn, food products can travel long distances to get to the right store. In this essay, I will examine the reasons for this peculiar method and elaborate why I consider this a positive trend towards great prospects.
Each country has its own unique technologies and methods that are of great benefit to them, especially in business. Indeed, almost every nation has an area in which they have made much more progress than all other countries combined. For instance, In Russia, the agricultural aspect dominates. The broader farming community has improved the harvesting techniques for gathering crops, and they now use them with great results, which, in turn, lead to lower prices for the final consumers. Thus, despite the additional costs of transportation, this crop still brings much more profit not only to buyers, but also to companies.
I believe that this trend has only a positive impact on the whole society. By specializing in only one particular market area, nations can innovate and learn about the most efficient ways to produce. For example, In Canada, they have come up with more efficient factory equipment that contributes to a significant reduction in costs, including time and money, in the production of plant-based meat. Therefore, if each country innovates and introduces something new, it will certainly contribute to the national economy and the technological sphere.
