Q. The graph below shows the percentage of adults in urban and rural areas who took part in four free time activities in 1990 and 2010.

The given table chart illustrates the proportion of urban and rural residents who enjoyed four leisure time activities in 1990 and 2010.

In 1990, 61% of urban people and 71% of rural people enjoyed reading. By 2010, the proportion of both urban and rural people engaged in reading had increased to 78%. The second most popular activity in 1990 was sports with 21% of urban people and 26% of country people. In the same year, 10% of urban people and 18% of rural people were engaged in animated drama. Photography was the least popular activity in 1990 in both cities 7% and villages 14%.

In 2010, reading remained the most popular activity in both urban and rural areas, with an equal number of people participating (78%). Animated games were the least popular activity in 2010, with only 10% of urban and 14% of rural residents enjoying them. Interestingly, the popularity of the game among city dwellers decreased from 21% in 1990 to 14% in 2010. There was no difference in its popularity among rural dwellers in both years (26%). The popularity of photography has increased significantly from 1990 to 2010 among both urban and rural residents.

Overall, it can be seen that reading was the most popular activity in both years, both among the urban and rural populations. In 1990 photography was the least popular activity, then in 2010 this award went to animated games.
