Q. Spoken communication is more powerful than written communication. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

Some people claim that verbal communication is more effective than written communication. In my opinion, this varies from person to person, and sometimes also depends on the context in which the question is to be referred to the other person. Thus, both forms of communication hold equal importance.

Spoken communication is often considered to be more versatile, as during a conversation, the listener can easily captured the emotions of the speaker. Eyes reflect the soul, and facial gestures can easily determine whether the speaker is fake or real. Prominent politicians and influencers around the world use this form of communication while conveying their thoughts. A passionate speech can arouse the emotions of the listeners. If we read history, we will read about brilliant orators who even made revolutions with the power of their fiery speeches. However, this form of communication does not always produce the desired result, as when misunderstandings arise in face-to-face communication, things may go out of control and people might end up deeply scarring an otherwise beautiful relationship. Conversational interactions are also not very suitable for conveying unpleasant messages.

On the other hand, the written form of communication is better for those who do not have the ability to persuade others orally. Some people can't deliver a perfect speech, but their words say a lot about them. The pen is mightier than the sword is not just a saying. Some writers shock the world when they present their ideas and opinions. However, written communications often reach only a limited section of society.

In conclusion, like the fingers of the human hand, no two people are alike. Some may have excellent oratory skills, while others may excel at written communication. Therefore, it is difficult to say whether written communication is more powerful than verbal communication because it depends entirely on the circumstances and the written or spoken skills of the communicator.
