Parents should take course in parenting, in order to improve the lives of their children. To what extend do you agree?
Parenting is the most important role of humanity. While some may argue that parents should do the learning exercises, others may disagree. In my opinion, although I believe that basic training is necessary, I do not agree that everything can be taught in such courses. Thus, this essay will discuss both the positive and negative aspects of parental education programs.
To
commence with, being a parent is not an easy mission. Regardless of previous experience as a father or mother, there will still be a lot of dilemmas. To help solve some of these problems, these courses may come in handy. For instance, in the case of new parents, these programs help them understand what vaccinations their newborns need and when to get them. Thus, it can be said that parenting lessons can help caregivers protect their children from diseases and health problems that are easy to prevent.
On the other hand, being a parent is a natural occurrence, and therefore the skills required to be one come with practical experience. In addition, each child has its own unique character and behavior. Consequently, classes that provide general coaching on how to grow them may not be effective. To illustrate, a silent introvert child needs special care and attention compared to an active extrovert. In view of the foregoing, it is quite clear that if individually oriented sessions are not provided, parenthood education may not be effective.
